Founded in Hong Kong in 2020, with campuses in both Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Our school is run by instructors who hold
Japan's national qualification for Japanese-language teachers
and
a master's degree in Japanese Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong,
providing high-quality Japanese language education
and study-in-Japan support services.
Most of our Japanese and non-Japanese Japanese-language instructors are on staff with us.
All non-Japanese instructors hold at least N1 and have experience studying in Japan.
More than 60% also hold one or more of:
– a relevant master's degree,
– teaching experience at college level or above, or
– completion of accredited teacher training.
Flexible modes to suit every course —
ideal for busy people in Hong Kong.
From learning Japanese to arranging your studies abroad and finding housing on arrival,
we follow up personally all the way — helping you make your study-abroad dream a reality.
Our founder holds Japan's national qualification for Japanese-language teachers, graduated with a master's degree in Japanese Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and previously worked full-time as an interpreter at a Japanese listed company.
“Years of teaching Japanese at universities and various institutions have convinced me that learning a language shouldn't be just about memorising grammar — you also need to understand the culture and way of thinking behind it.”
What Aoba wants to give you is a real window into Japan — more than just a certificate.
Plenty of chances to speak in every lesson, so you can put what you learn into practice right away.

Thank you, teacher — I passed the JLPT!
The teacher explains everything so well — excellent, easy to follow and so encouraging, hugely boosting my confidence 🫶
My feel for Japanese has grown rapidly 🫶
After three and a half years of Japanese classes, what I love most is how fun the teaching style is, and that the teacher adjusts the approach to my strengths and weaknesses.
Besides the textbook, we also cover current-affairs Japanese,
so when I browse online and spot words I learned in class, it feels so rewarding!
Now when I go to Japan, I've gone from being completely stuck to almost no barriers in communication.
Thank you to everyone who arranged the whole programme — the arrangements were thoughtful, detailed and well suited 🙏🙏🙏
I was an AOBA student myself, and the principal and teachers are fantastic.
All I had to do was photocopy my passport and fill in an application form, and they took care of the rest. When there were issues with payment or class placement, they proactively emailed to sort them out — perfect if you don't want to chase people 🫡
